To be high in the ratings, the candidates had to successfully survive several stages of elimination process and, at the end, provide the experts with a practical case implemented by the company.

At the annual HSE DAYS forum in Moscow, the winners of the first national industrial safety rating, established in 2022 with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, were awarded.

The rating included employees of the largest industrial companies in Russia, where safety issues were a priority, and the applied practices were not limited to compliance only with the legal requirements. The attendance forms were submitted by more than 250 people from all over Russia - from the regions of Central Russia to the Far East.

The rating participant on behalf of Poliom was Olga KUDRYAVTSEVA, the head of the occupation and industrial safety, civil protection and ecology department. As a result, she was included in the top 40 managers of the current year, while confirming her status of a real specialist in her field.

To be high in the ratings, the candidates had to successfully survive several stages of elimination process and, at the end, provide the experts with a practical case implemented by the company. Members of the Expert Council and participants of the HSE DAYS project, who are active employees in the field of industrial safety in other companies, take part in the assessment of the rating candidates.

Olga KUDRYAVTSEVA presented a case in relation to the technical solutions to ensure the safety of works at height at Poliom LLC. Her performance received positive reviews and high appreciation.

“The safety of employees is one of Poliom's key values. The shop floor staff, together with the industrial safety specialists, have assessed and identified the high-risk areas where it is difficult to protect against falling from height. To solve this issue, a project with a step-wise implementation has been developed. Our solution to the problem is construction of steady-state fall arrest systems. This year we are installing the anchors near the measuring instruments and horizontal anchor lines on the pitched roofs. Next year, we will begin installation of the vertical anchor lines, including at the flare facility”.

It should be noted that the HSE DAYS forum is a high-valued platform for communication of the industry leaders and namely the industrial safety leaders. The calling card of the event is a focus on practical value. The coach sessions and workshops were held for two days and allowed the participants to find solutions to a number of topical issues and exchange contact details with the colleagues from other industrial companies.
